Anita Briem is an Icelandic actress . Anita Briem is an Icelandic actress. Her best-known work is portraying Jane Seymour, the young girl who would become the 3rd Queen of Henry VIII on the television series The Tudors. Briem was first introduced to acting when she was 9 years old at the National Theater in Iceland. When she was a young actress she participated in various plays in radio and television shows in her native Iceland. Briem, then 16, went to London and participated in the production of Lenin In Love for the New End Theater. After turning 19, Briem was accepted at the highly regarded Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), where she studied for the next three years and where she received a diploma in drama and the John Barton Prize in the category of Scenic Fight.
